The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2022/23

His new number two had only been in the job a week. I hope he packed light.
Just looked Chris Armas isn’t on the departure list. Might be straight into caretaker manager against Utd.

An atrocious refereeing decision kept him in a job for about 8 months longer than he should have.

I noticed that, too. Brushed it off assuming Armas was never actually an official employee of the club.

I know you will love this...

During his press conference last week he mentioned Armas joining and said he now hopes he can take the Ted Lasso name from him...

Mate, you are an American coach about to bring in someone you call one of your best friends to coach the team who is also American. Forget him taking on the Lasso name, you have gone full Lasso yourself.

Armas getting jobs in the Prem completely befuddles me. His entire tactical acumen is "Marsch, but worse".

We don't want Leeds getting Corberan do we? I would tather Leeds went down and Albion got promoted tbh

"Hilarious" Wiki edits are a very shit thing from about 2008 but credit to whoever did this one for Bible Boy:

On 10 November 2022, after being named best strategical manager on Football Manager 22/23, Jones (aka The Goat) was appointed manager of Premier League club Southampton, succeeding Ralph Hasenhüttl, and signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club. He lost his first game as Southampton manager to Liverpool on 12 November 2022. However, with the greatest respect, he doesn’t count this game on his record - it was the previous managers fault.

He is indeed. Along with 2 others

My baggies workmate when I said I'd seen their manager linked with Leeds and joked they could have Bruno Lage

"Tbf he might be alright in the championship"

The ginger bloke...?
Touché.

A young English striker on loan from Arsenal to Reims, Folarin Balogun, is currently the top scorer in Ligue 1. He's outscoring the likes of Mbappe, Neymar and Messi playing for the side managed by fellow Englishman, Will Still.
