Really?

Literally got a stadium named after him in Argentina!

he’s a bit of a cult hero. I can see why. His teams play fantastic football often transforming previously thought of as limited footballers.

as I said he’s very flawed in many ways but I don’t get the whole football men people being all “yeah but what has he achieved”. He’s achieved plenty and his teams are a joy to watch
I’m referring purely to in England. I can’t comment on his exploits abroad as I have know nothing other than he managed Argentina and was allededly decent with Chile.

Good coach maybe, I don’t think he’s a good manager. Stubbornness, inflexibility, whatever you want to call it. It’s not a good trait and the result of that massively over shadows any other qualities he might have.

As I said, he’s talked about as some genius but he’s achieved less than Dean Smith in these last few years despite being way more experienced.

So only his work in England is relevant? Weird

We’re commenting on his achievements at Leeds no?
Well even that is excellent and as I say, equivalent to Nuno stature wise so I can understand from a fans point of view

comparing him to Smith seems quite offensive tbh!!

Meh. Going to get them relegated to a worse position that they started. Plenty of financial backing. Best crowd in the league (country?) behind them.

Way worse than Wilder. Arguably worse than Smith at Villa. So depending on how you rate Smith is the barometer of his achievements.

He's done a very good job with the Championship players he's elevated to another level. They've spent poorly though, nigh on £150m and Raphinha would be the only one you'd say was a resounding success. Meslier has been OK in the main. Llorente, Koch, Firpo, Rodrigo and James have been dire for the money spent.

Sheffield United were horrific last season? Way worse than Leeds

not sure you can attribute the poor spending down to him. That’s on Orta.

They were. But they never should have been there in the first place.

Not at all. Any other manager that played the same week in week out despite conceding a hatful of goals would be slaughtered for it. It's just cool to make him out as some kind of genius.

Attitude is everything.

Compare how West Ham are still playing at 1-0 up compared to how we did against Arsenal.

Kilman to LB then?

Nope Saiss.

He's not the Emporer with no clothes though which is what you said.

If there's one thing about Bielsa it's that he has a style. Immovably so.

Bruce, Redknapp, Gerard, Saunders, Lambert, Jones, Grant, Ince and assorted other chancers have nothing other than their name.

Bielsa gets done because he doesn't change.

You mean he’s got clothes but hasn’t changed them for so long they’re threadbare and falling off? Teams have worked out how to counter his tactics and his refusal to change is comical. Einstein had coaches like him worked out in so much as the definition of madness is doing the same thing expecting a different outcome.
