I'd love their owners to take full leave of their senses and appoint Mick. He's thick skinned enough to take the flack and it'd be hilarious seeing him offer the Brummie Rd out for a straightener.

Nuno.....?

CEO also gone. Replaced with Gourlay who is universally hated at Reading.

Chairman fired and the owner will now take that role.

pass the popcorn - it’s about to go to shit at the Crem.

I instantly despise chancers who make poses like this on company websites. It's an immediate "shit middle manager" vibe. Or the LinkedIn profile picture of a bad recruitment consultant.

Gourlay is pretty much single handedly responsible for the mess at Reading. Top appointment.

I couldn't possibly comment.

Although you know how everyone hated estate agents in the 80s and 90s? Well... :D

Did Wor Brucie not give an interview after Newcastle sacked him saying he was done and he wasn't interested in all the stress the job brings any more?

I can't believe that he would have lied, totally out of character.

if it’s Brucie then the Albion fans myth of being a traditional good footballing side is in the bin. This century, Megson, Pulis, Pardew, Allardyce, Ismael and possibly Bruce have managed the club.

Wouldn't say Bryan Robson or Steve Clarke were particularly known for beautiful football either.

Alan Irvine was a joke appointment.

I have a lot of time for Roy Hodgson but you'd call him pragmatic more than anything.

Forgot about Clarke and Robson only had Mowbray and Di Matteo who tried to play football. It stems back to the late 70’s when they had came 3rd and had a good side.

bruce! fucking hell! guy i work with is an albion fan and was away from his desk when the news broke. Been messaging him this afternoon telling him how much I hate bruce. Oh my days, if he gets the gig it will be too funny!

apparently my colleague was there wednesday and says the atmosphere was poisonous. that's how I remember micks last days tbh.

Even that was exciting football rather than pure. Classic 442, similar at a higher level to Mick's Championship side when it clicked

He'll probably put an assistant in charge until the end of March as he's watching the Cricket

Someone will have to remind me if he's had a go at management before.

Yes, Sunderland and Ipswich

Never go back to an ex, they say...
