It's not shite, The Athletic have confirmed it, also say Villa aren't interested in doing anything until the Summer
Was Paddy referring to the rumoured fee for Neves? It's not shite, The Athletic have confirmed it, also say Villa aren't interested in doing anything until the Summer
It is strange that some people treat FFP like that should be the clubs budget rather a limit.Nope. During the video interviews last May he mentioned FFP.
He then did an interview with Timmy and said its not FFP.
Just have to accept right now, we will not do a Villa type spending spree. Its not like we are tight arses though. We do spend but we won't go out and sign a Coutinho or the like.
End of the day we are owned by investors and the majority of signings are done on what the return on that investment will be. Obviously we all hope we flip from the majority joining us where the ROI is future sales and is actually based on the money the club earns by being successful.
We are trying to build a brand and for that to be a thing it has to change to success (and successful for ROI isn't bring a 8th-14th Prem League club)
Oh OK.. yes that's shiteIt's not shite, The Athletic have confirmed it, also say Villa aren't interested in doing anything until the Summer

Apart from Jeff's Summer FFP statement there have been plenty of noises out of the club including Bruno about us working to an inferred tight budget though and 3 cash loans against future assets in the last 6 months appears strange when looking at what the projected next accounts 'should' look like.
The concern I have is prioritisation of resources where we are spending it, Fabio being the poster boy example, but if the Trincao rumours are true that would be another. I appreciate there's some financial trickery with the Adama deal, but for a club which is cautious with it's cash, spending £25m on a player who doesn't make your best 11 if everyone were fit, probably wouldn't even be first choice cover and can only play 1 position seems an incorrect allocation of resources unless of course the purse strings are properly loosened in the summer
Quite possibly.Short term bounce due to the feel good factor of the name followed by slide towards mediocrity as he blames any collective failure on the shortcomings of his players rather than take responsibility himself.
He'll galvanise them but it won't last long termQuite possibly.
Also might galvanise them and get them at least playing to potential
I don’t know. There is a lot of talent there. If he gets them anywhere near potential they will climb up fastHe'll galvanise them but it won't last long term
