A random baggies fan I was talking to the other day say the reason Moore was sacked was because of Jones.

Apparently he had accepted an offer at Luton so the board said he needed to get rid of him but Moore said no, so they sacked him. Doesn’t make any sense but still.

Jones agreeing to join Luton at the end of the season is true at least. He wouldn't walk out on Albion during the season, hence Luton kept Halford in charge and didnt bother looking for anyone else to replace their own Jones.

The Moore sacking apparently came after the board met the Palm dude and when they told him the financial implications of not going up he told them to fire Moore as they wouldn't finish top 2 and he was worried they might finish out of the top 6 (think they were 7 or 9 points clear of 7th at that point).

Now it's Billic as odds on favourite at 2/9 with Danny Cowley being pushed back to 5/1.

Neither is Bilic I suspect. They now want to talk to Bowyer.

Betting on an Albion manager market would be a thankless task. Nobody has a fucking clue. Especially the Albion board.

Oldham's owner has appointed this nobody who has spent most of the last decade hopping between various jokeshop desert clubs. Nothing iffy there, nothing to do with said owner being a former agent who might want a tame manager in name only so he can sign who he wants.

That is a seriously odd line to send to the press (the E&S won't have made it up themselves). "Contracts being scrutinised by lawyers". Who the hell talks like that in football?!

They're a weird club. He's a very engaging man but his teams blow very hot and cold it seems. Plus they need investment in the squad, quickly.
