According to Sport Bild, Pep Guardiola is close to agreeing terms to become the manager of...

Wait for it...

The Qatar national team.

That would be quite disappointing. Unless he refuses to take a wage and is just doing it for the challenge, which he won't be

Fuck him, get his slow paced football somewhere I'll never see it again.

Malky McKay sacked by Wigan, after they lost today

Watch the FA all of a sudden now charge him after months of bottling it.

Notts County have finally got round to appointing Ricardo Moniz. Three year deal which seems optimistic given that they haven't gone through a season without a manager leaving since 2008/9. None at all under this chairman.

They're going down anyway. He had a pretty simple brief (don't get relegated with a squad that shouldn't be anywhere near that end of the league) and failed, he hasn't won a single home game. I don't think he can complain too much.

Yes you are correct DW. I did not realise their home record was that bad. But who do they get in now? Whoever it is will know that league one football looks almost certain next season.

All depends on what they want to do. Whelan has stepped back although he still owns the club. They have 2 x £8m parachute payments left, but contracts to honour so it might not matter. Gates will dip back below 10k. They'll probably just regress to their natural level now and stay in the bottom two tiers for a while.

They don't have the clout to get someone like Kenny Jackett like we did. Their best hope is taking a flier on a recently retired player and hope he turns out to be good.

Well there you go. They'll hope he turns out to be more Eddie Howe than Chris Sutton.

They might not have the status we have but they need to follow a similar template. As many as possible of those players that have got them into this mess need to go. It doesn't matter if they should be too good for L1, they should be too good to have more than 35 points in the Championship now and they obviously aren't. Get rid of everything you can and start again.

McKay's home record was terrible. They haven't had a home win since August.

I saw the stats for it yesterday. It was something horrendous like:
