Leroy Rosenior said on FiveLive this morning that he believed Dave Whelan was an honest man and Floppychops is quoted today saying that he is a good man.

The evidence suggests otherwise so why won't the media call him for what he really is?

The media portrayal of Whelan works though. I've had to explain to numerous people why I dislike Whelan as much as I do - and TBH the injury and subsequent blame laid of Norman Deeley isn't even the worst of it. He's a nasty, ruthless piece of work who would happily stab anyone in the back to make a quick buck, and doesn't care who he fucks over.

I can't abide the man, yet it's surprising just how many people are unaware of his business dealings, the hypocrisy, the unfair blame on Deeley, Orrell-gate etc etc.

However, seeing things like Henry Winter has said suggests that this may be beyond the pale for the media and Whelan could be in for monumental stick. Would be an excellent time for footage of the tackle of Deeley "doing" Whelan to see the light of day again.

You can see how 5 foot four Norman Deeley almost killed Whelan that day in 1960.

Interesting to note that Whelan's wiki page now refers to it being his own "feisty challenge" that caused the infamous leg break.

Whelan was a member of Blackburn Rovers' 1960 FA Cup Final team, which lost 3-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Whelan himself did not complete the game, a feisty challenge from Whelan culminated in the Blackburn man being withdrawn before half time due to a broken leg.
