The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2014/15

I am not sure if he was sacked, but he left Guangzhou R&F last week.
Mutual agreement, he has doubled his salary to £4m a year, as the saying goes you could drop Sven in shit and he'd come up smelling of roses

Horrible racist bastard Malky Mackay in at Wigan.

I like the way he thinks everyone should draw a line under his new manager being a bigot because he says so. Rugby ball headed prick.

Have you seen his wikipedia page?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Whelan

A prominent supporter of the Conservative Party, in 2008 he donated £250,000 to the Party and in 2013 he stirred controversy with his call for a mandatory minute's silence at all football games upon the death of Margaret Thatcher. All after breaking his leg in the fa cup final.

:icon_lol:

He's a big friend of Stuart Hall's, too. I merely throw that into the conversation with all the baseless innuendo I can muster.

It was just banter.

There are two sides.

One side the victims

The other side the racist sexist anti-semite homophobe that Dave Whelan has just employed.

What does it all matter?

He's a good football man and THAT is what counts.

Hitler was a good 'transport structure' man !

Keeping the likes of Malky Mackay within the game makes a mockery of the respect campaign.

I have to admit I wasn't sure of what he'd actually texted until I saw it on Twitter yesterday, I'm amazed anyone has employed him after that. Shocking stuff. How great would it be if they went down?

QPR manager Harry Redknapp said Mackay now has "a second chance" to rebuild his reputation.

"He's made a big mistake," said Redknapp. "But he's working under a good man in Dave Whelan and I think he's a decent person."

Well as I tend to think the polar opposite of anything 'Arry says, this is very consistent with my views.

But why the fuck is he being asked about Wigan anyway?

No doubt SSN will be asking all the Premier League managers their opinion in the pre-match press conferences. Some will deliver crap like Redknapp has above. Others may well say that they have nothing to say on the matter. I live in hope that one says Mackay is a racist sexist anti-semite homophobe who should have been drummed out of football forever, but it just won't happen.

Dave Whelan was on Talkshite this morning with Alan Brazil and the flippancy both showed towards the situation was amazing, Whelan excuse was that he didn't think that much would come of the FA hearing so he's employed him anyway and he claimed that Mackay made 1 mistake. By all accounts it was lots of text that were sent so isnt that lots of mistakes?
Didn't help Brazil egging him on then again Brazil is good mates with Whelan and Mackay who have been regulars on his show so he dare not upset his pals.

If it serves to make the world of football realise that Dave Whelan isn't in fact a harmless old codger with a wonky leg, but actually a nasty piece of work who thinks it's ok to slander the dead to sell his shitty book, continually behaves like a hypocrite (I won't employ foreign managers ever, I won't sack the manager then sack him two days later) and has some very iffy attitudes towards racial matters then all the better. I won't be holding my breath though.

Like Mandaric before him and Redknapp throughout his whole career, the simple fact that he has SSN/TalkSPORT on speed dial and is happy to be a rentaquote on any given matter means he enjoys a lot of protection from the media.
