How on earth does he manage to find employment?

The "Pardew Out" banners were not in evidence at Newcastle yesterday. It does show that sometimes the knee jerk reaction by some clubs is not always the right way.

Pardew out was hardly knee jerk. They had been awful since January.

Pardew out was hardly knee jerk. They had been awful since January.

They've had some good results of late but they are still appalling to watch. They'll revert back to the mess they are and the crowd will be in his back by Christmas.

Stolen from the Telegraph:
Not since 1986 have Manchester United made such a dismal beginning to their League season. With just three wins from 10 games, they have managed only 13 points. Not since Ron Atkinson was manager have England’s mightiest club started so badly; and that mid-Eighties horror prompted the board to give Big Ron the chop and bring in some bloke called Ferguson. Clearly they’re not quite ready to axe Louis van Gaal just yet, and he could justifiably claim that United played with spirit against Manchester City and Chelsea, but things will turn ugly soon enough if results don’t improve.

Abit late, but Stuart McCall stepped down as manager at Motherwell last night.

James Beattie looks to be the choice as the new Burton Albion manager.

Avram Grant is the new head coach for Ghana. :)

Anyone think Pochettino will last until Christmas?

Yep. They need to gut the squad of all the past it dross and mental weaklings before they start changing the manager. Same players who lay down and died under AVB and Tactics Tim. I'd want all of Rose, Kaboul, Fazio, Chiriches, Vertonghen, Capoue, Dembele, Paulinho, Eriksen, Lamela, Soldado and Adebayor gone ASAP. Not a set of balls between the lot of them. Fazio, Rose and Paulinho on talent grounds as well as they are simply awful footballers.

Have a look at Wolves September 2011 - May 2013, players dragging the club down and never taking responsibility. They had to go.

Eriksen's got away without being tarnished like the others, but I think you've rightfully included him. He's been largely shocking this season and drifts through games.

They'll lose Lloris at the end of the season unless they buck their ideas up.

Telling that Mason and Kane have been their best outfield players this season (maybe Chadli as well who has surprised me). They're not especially talented but they do at least give everything they have, every game.

Vertonghen's attitude is almost as bad as Adebayor's. Horrible complacent twat.

Seems that it's a problem that's steadily getting worse for Tottenham too, more and more players becoming more and more half arsed and complacent, just completely losing interest it seems.

The likes of Adebayor are always going to be that way but people like Vertonghen didn't seem to have that attitude when they first arrived despite heading that way since, Eriksen managed to remain one of the bright sparks under Sherwood despite being constantly punted wide left so they could still play 442 but now he looks like he doesn't want to be their either.

Is it just poor results causing them to lose interest? Is it the bi-annual manager change that's just fucking them all off? Or could there be a deeper problem at Spurs that's just breeding this attitude? Seems highly unlikely they'd just happen to sign a squad almost completely full of players who don't really care.

Baldini is a big problem but it does seem to be a club thing as well. Spurs always settle for second best. Given how crap Arsenal have been (relatively speaking) since about 2004 how have they not managed to ever finish above them in that time? I think players go there and know they can coast. It's not subtle stuff but the rare occasions they have overperformed, they've had a Davids or a Parker in the squad, Ledley King was huge for them as well. Somehow they've drifted into buying second tier players in bulk and that leads to second tier results. Lloris is the only player they have who top clubs would ever want.

Baldini is a cancer. He was responsible for Roma's mediocrity and the change in Rome since he's left has been immediate and drastic.

Him and Commoli, snake oil salesmen.

Will Pochettino stay in England if Levy pulls the trigger, or do you think that's the last we'll see of him?
