One of my mates family members has just been told he's the new Saint Vincent and the Grenadines manager!

Jose Riga has quit Blackpool.

Owen Coyle now hot favourite, according to the Blackpool Gazette. Lives locally, knows Karl Oyston and has applied for the job before.

Oof didnt get a lot of time..poor blackpool

I wonder how long Dean Smith has left at Walsall. Two wins in his last 24 league games now.

Not sure he can be sacked and it is difficult to see how anyone could do better with the squad he has. They are still masssively in need of someone to put the ball in the net, Forde looked decent enough today though.

Both he & Steve Davis have struggled since we appointed Jackett. Both had a fair amount of admirers at the time too.

The budget and resources Walsall have there a top half league 2 side, think they'll struggle to stay up this season.

They massively over performed in the first half of last season and have struggled since. They are a very young side who still play decent football but they don't really have the resources to bring in the players who can do that something special in league 1 terms. I hope they don't struggle and stay up easily but after 6 games it looks like a struggle especially as i said earlier if they can't find a goalscorer of some sort.

Even if they did can him, who would replace him in that division? They have a top half Conference National budget at best and nobody works better on the shoestring Bonser provides than Dean Smith. The club is punching above its weight at League One level as things stand. They simply don't have the fanbase to generate the revenue.

All fair points, but regardless of any of that, no manager anywhere survives with that kind of win ratio for any length of time.

I see the "Smith Out" brigade are piping up. He was the "ginger Mourinho" a few months ago. The fans need to adjust their expectations to a realistic level for a club of Walsall's size, i.e. League Two or even the Conference. With the playing budget they have, anything above League Two is a bonus and non-league football is a real possibility.

Always difficult to comment on other teams managers from the outside. When we sacked McCarthy we were pretty much panned by all and sundry for doing so, yet the vast majority of Wolves fans thought it was time for him to go

When MM was sacked I think we had won 2 in 19 matches, had gone out the cup to blues and thrashed at home by WBA, yet the media threw at us up until when we got relegated to league 1 " If THEY DIDNT SACK MM THIS WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED"
