Tanganga looked awful at Spurs, walking red card and diabolical on the ball.
There aren't any rules on how many domestic players you can have, it's a myth. You can only have 17 over 21 last Jan that aren't home grown qualified. We currently don't have any spaces without moving someone out/not naming them, although Mosquera will open 1 up as he's done for the seasonWhat are the exact rules about foreign vs domestic numbers in the squad?
Assume that's where the link to Tanganga has come from, but you'd like to think there are better English/British (not sure if the difference means anything for roster construction) defenders we could get. Crap or no, Tanganga is fresh enough out of Tottenham that we'd probably be paying way too much for him regardless.
And nationality doesn't count for "home grown" - it's all about where players spent time before they were 21. Hence Fabio might well actually count as "home grown" as he's spent plenty of time attached to a club in England under that age.You can only have 17 over 21 last Jan that aren't home grown qualified. We do currently have 5 players for those 2 DM positions. So certainly a possibility.Traore on loan is another likely option given he was going out if he hadn't got injured
Just when you thought Matthew was bad eh?Tanganga looked awful at Spurs, walking red card and diabolical on the ball.

(yes, I know it's technically not 21 but three weeks after they turned 21 unless the season has a "2" in it, in which case it's four years or some such silliness)
I have absolutely no clue how on earth time spent at Swansea, Cardiff, Newport or Wrexham is counted in terms of "home grown". For viewers in Scotland, replace with Berwick Rangers. And if you really want to annoy half of Ireland, think about players who spent their youth at Derry City - do they count as home grown for Ireland or for NI?
I went to Sunderland vs Burnley this season with my brother and he was very good that gameThrough my extensive scouting network (FM) I have identified Dennis Cirkin at Sunderland as an ideal HG target at LB.

Dennis Cirkin's contract and transfer situation at Sunderland AFC explained
The left-back has been attracting the attention of other clubs with his strong performances this season.footballleagueworld.co.uk
2 goals and 2 assists this season. Sounds very similar to RAN in that he likes to get forward, dribbles a lot and can shoot. Decent defensively too. Bought from Spurs who had a buy back option of £6m which has now expired. Contracted to 2026. FM says he can also play CB but I'm dubious of that.
All depends whether we can recall him. Plus he'd take up Mosquera's non-HG spot, so we'd have to buy a HG CB or someone would have to leave.I wouldn’t mind Cirkin but signing a LB seems like stupid squad management when we have a potentially perfectly good one out on loan.
