My only slight concern about Danso is Hasenhüttl said he wasn't strong enough to play centre half in the PL. He's older and presumably stronger now though.

According to Lop he was a player he wanted and as he was also on the Hobbs wish list (along with Lemina and Dawson) he made him the number 1 target for the club.

Hobbs and Jeff both say they had to over pay to get him.

Jorge would have had involvement with both us and Atletico. His chunk of ££ would have been hefty indeed.

Agreed.
I may be a tad OTT on my lack of time for the likes of Hobbs but I simply cannot see how his limited 'career' has given him the range and depth of skills let alone the status in the game to get hold of leading talents from Latin America. I still think it is imperative for this market to use the Mendes network, warts and all with Hobbs doing the meet and greet and rubber stamping role. I am also sure that Guo/Shi know this and benefit from this.

Somewhere between Mendes shoving anyone he can make a drink off in our direction and Hobbs looking at South American kids and Championship cloggers is a decently ran PL team.
