The January 2025 Transfer Thread

If vic can fix forbes, give him the keys to the club, the city, abd my chocolate cupboard, but i'm not panic eating yet.

As with most we’ve got right now I think there’s room to hope for legitimate improvement now that we employ *knock on wood* an actual coach.

Isn’t he a loan with an option to buy? Anyone know what the option is?

For someone whose alleged main asset is his pace, Forbs doesn’t look that quick. Obviously he’s a poor footballer technically, so it looks like a poor buy to me.
He was clocked as the fastest in the prem this season.....

Technically ok, just slow in thought.

Now in 3rd with 36.57 kmh

I wonder if we're still interested in Koleosho (sp?) from Burnley? I think he got a bad injury so not sure how well he's recovered from that

I suppose he wouldn't have to do much to become our best ever Austrian signing. We're 3 for 3 on duds (not really Saša's fault but ultimately it's £18m for two goals, with little immediate prospect of that turning around or us getting much of that money back. And he's the best one!)

I believe in the Sasa 2025 revival!

Danso would be alright I think. Not hard to be an improvement on what we’ve got even if Santi looks better in the middle of the 3 and Doherty has turned into Maldini.

I'm in if he can defend a cross from RCB; Semedo's never been able to at any position, and though Doc has weirdly worked out a bit in that spot, he can't/won't jump to save his life.

Re: Saša; if Vitor likes him, who knows? He looked alright, assuming he can ever stay healthy (which seems less likely than I'd prefer, honestly).

Danso is right footed, and we could really do with a Toti replacement who's left footed IMO.

Seems like we want two anyway. Although I think Danso has been playing in the middle of a 3. So if we sign a lefty that keeps Doherty in the team..

Meupiyou can hopefully be that LCB as the season goes on. I really want to see him start against Bristol City as he's quite highly rated by all the scouting articles. Been compared to Badiashile at Chelsea.

He's played 10 mins of first team football, I'm not sure he's what we need in a relegation fight.

Probably wouldn't even be making the bench if it weren't for Hobbs defensive masterplan in action
