Pretty sure in the article it says wasn’t proven. And yeah, it’s just my preconception and my opinion. Haven’t said he has done it, just don’t personally think he comes across as a likeable character. You asked a question, I’m just answering with my opinion, dude …
"Not proven" is just the same as "no evidence". Maybe a bit different legally, but we're not in a courtroom.

He was training with the first team. They left, he stayed. We know from is Instagram he wasn’t dealing with an emergency.

Connect the dots.

Not proven only exists in Scottish law.

Alan - poisoned dwarf is a saying used in this country since Terry Wogan used it about the character of Lucy Ewing in Dallas because the actress Charlene Tilton is fairly diminutive and the character was a cast iron bitch. It’s never had the connotations you are trying to imply.

Is that where it came from? That's around 40 years ago?

I think Keen referred to Podence as a "nuisance", but then his opinion is wildly dismissed on here on a regular basis, so I'm not sure why his opinion on Podence is all of a sudden the gospel truth? This is proof that people will spin a story to suit their own narrative, if ever I saw it.

As I said, the club will have their version of events. Podence will have his version. Generally speaking, the truth will be somewhere in the middle.

All I know is, without his goals last season, we'd have been fucked. I hope he has a good season in Greece and we pick up a reasonable fee for him next summer. If others want to hold some weird agenda/hatred towards him, that's up to them, I guess.

Where's that aubergine gone?

The reason Keen is criticised is for parroting the club line on things such as FFP and not questioning it. The club has nothing to gain by leaking Podence is a pain, if anything it damages the ability to sell him, so it's clearly not a spin he's been told to put out there.

I was going to say it’s very different, look at the greenwood situation.

Anyway, I digress. Just to clarify I’m not saying he definitely spat.

Anyway, it’s all moot. He’s out on loan. Talented player but very frustrating at same time

The first part was on the first podcast of the season, I'm sure you can find if you like. The second was on a later one, but is covered at the bottom of this

Ah the oracle who is Liam Keen, it must be true then.

I remember it being reported that Podence wouldn't be traveling to Portugal with the rest of the squad.

I can't recall it being a refusal to travel though. It may have been ambiguous, but I read it as he was not selected to go.

It is very different isn't it. Alleged spitting v alleged rape. Not really comparable.

If you aren't prepared to accept Keen as a source then it's pretty pointless replying. Both Podence and Jonny were given the option of going to Portugal one chose to go the other chose not to. I said declined, not refused

The FFP stuff is easy to prove based on the factual evidence available.

Whether Podence is a “nuisance” is a personal opinion that cannot be proven by facts. You can either agree or disagree with.

They’re completely different things.

Both Lop and O'Neil putting him in the bomb squad suggests the issue is more with Podence than the management doesn't it? The latter gave him a chance as well?

"One-cap Portugal international Podence has been frozen out for parts of the summer and has spent time training with the club’s under-21s. He was left out of the summer tour to Portugal and there have been suggestions of interest from his homeland." - Lewis Cox, E&S 25(26)/8/23.

Podence was bombed out rather than slapping a transfer request in. So he was less than enthusiastic about playing while waiting for his move, which Wolves instigated.

Meanwhile Dodgy knees Jonny is happy to fight for his place while picking up his massive contract. How very mysterious.

As I've said twice already, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

I'm not prepared to hold some irrational hatred towards a player over something I don't know. For example, Nunes literally went on strike to force a move. We know this, he's a knob. I find it difficult to get to worked up over Podence and find some of the stuff leveled at him odd.

It is what it is, though. This conversation is going around in circles so I'll bow out.

But what would be in the middle?

2 entirely different managers with 2 entirely different personalities have both excluded him from the squad, I don’t see what the middle would be?

However, calling him a dwarf etc is pathetic isn't it, in the same way as was/is calling players ugly, lanky etc.

And people did get worked up over Nunes?

Times reporting that there is a new 3-month process for FFP breaches coming into effect for PL sides.

Must be why we acted the way we did this summer ;)
