The fact one of the richest clubs in the world have better CHs doesn’t make Maguire a bad player. The same player who made only 8 PL starts last season, yes?
Neither does playing for your country make you a decent PL player. The two aren't linked. The fact one of the richest clubs in the world have better CHs doesn’t make Maguire a bad player.
Similar to Leicester, their game plan was to sit deep and then spring Vardy on the counter.Maguire played in a low block back 5 for England because Southgate is firstly a pretty defensive manager. Put him in that system facing away from goal and tell him to get rid the way he is facing and he is perfectly serviceable. Turn him, and he is a bombscare.
If said country is successful and you play a part in that it is an indication that you’re better than many make him out to be. Not world class but a perfectly decent PL player.Neither does playing for your country make you a decent PL player. The two aren't linked.
As someone who thought signing Collins was great business, I'm going to wait and see him play first before saying this is a brillaint decision!on paper.

See all the debate above about his use.If said country is successful and you play a part in that it is an indication that you’re better than many make him out to be. Not world class but a perfectly decent PL player.
Just think of elvedi as replacing coady and then the benchmark is probably a bit lower. As someone who thought signing Collins was great business, I'm going to wait and see him play first before saying this is a brillaint decision!
Not that surprising, he's had a few lengthy injuries whilst he's been with us.Rumours that Sarkic has failed his medical at Stoke
Stoke are trying a deal for Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers, with the Matija Sarkic move from #Wolves falling through - fee agreed last week but now not happening. Travers was also wanted by #Millwall. Story with @JPercyTelegraph #SCFC #AFCB @TeleFootball
That's a shame for the lad. Genuinely seems like he wants to play, rather than sit on his arse as a back-up.Rumours that Sarkic has failed his medical at Stoke
Sarkic will probably still get a move. More likely to be a loan one though. If not he is kicking his heels for at least 6 months before heading off. That's a shame for the lad. Genuinely seems like he wants to play, rather than sit on his arse as a back-up.
Wonder what we'll do with the keepers now Roberts is stuck with more than he wants.
