Maybe it was Hoever's own attitude and nobody else was to blame, no matter how easy?

Jonny is completely finished, I fear. Hard to play on one leg.
He was awful against Leeds (great goal aside) but he did manage a couple of decent games as well last season.

He played well against Spurs and Liverpool in the 2-2.

Comparing him against his previously high standards though, yes. Doesn't look as though he'll get there again.

Point remains though, I'd rather have Jonny as backup for RB and LB than Doherty as back up for....?

His attitude was shit and some bollocks came out of his mouth "they promised me I would be 1st choice after a year"

Bruno went full Jose on him and gave him the full Luke Shaw treatment. Seemingly his attitude at PSV was rank and they couldn't wait to get rid of him but certainly sorted himself out at Stoke.

However, after watching the Dele stuff today, got to take a step back when questioning a player as no clue what they are going through.

Man of the Match vs Southampton at home.

He properly hated Lage, I think Lopetegui would like to use him if he can but that Leeds game was a disaster.

Edit: re: Jonny. I don't think Hoever is a Lop kind of player

No one decent has ever had a shitty attitude about their employer…

100% agree. And he's still really young at 21. There's obviously a good player there waiting to be moulded by a decent mentor or two

Actually surprised there's been no talk about Joel Piroe given how desperate some fans were for Gyokeres
Isn't he going to another Championship club? Leicester maybe? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Think you're being a bit harsh there, not sure what is wrong with his tweet?

Many felt we would be selling more players than we have? And we may still?
Sorry, had to step in to a meeting and now the conversation has moved on.

It’s the indication that we still need to sell more players to bring new ones in. We all know that’s bollocks at this point. My gripe is mainly with his wording and the inflammatory nature of it.

Edit: I don’t think anyone has an issue with us selling more, FYI.

I think it's bollocks for sure. But it wouldn't surprise me if the club are happy to tell this to Keen and he is happy to parrot it.

Jeff Shi at the moment

Yeah, seems odd though. His record is nuts so you'd think anyone in the bottom 6 or 7 would be keen

How many times did Lop switch to 5 at the back for the last 30 mins or so last season? 3 or 4 times?

It may have been touched on, but perhaps this is the idea with Doherty, to offer us a bit more physicality in the air (Semedo gets beaten A LOT in the air) and he's clearly more of a natural WB than Semedo.

Surely we have the upper hand here?
"Tell you what Matt, finances the way they are etc, etc, we can give you£100 per week + £50 appearance money."
"You must be fucking kidding!"
"No, we're not actually, it's kinda 'take it or leave it'".
Shit Roy... £400 a month and £50 per game bonus? I wouldn't accept that to play at level 9 in the pyramid and I'm 59! :ROFLMAO:
