The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Apparently we bid £18m for him last week and had it rejected. We're not willing to go any higher. Bournemouth then came along this week and offered £15m (presumably they weren't aware of what we'd already offered so that got swiftly knocked back too).
Either that or they've been reading our discussions last week about selling stuff via Facebook etc...

Oh I dunno - I've REALLY enjoyed the Doherty debate on here this week so I might vote for him just for the lolz and to bring the debate back.
You'd then have to report yourself to the Mods for abuse.

A poster on another (non-Wolves) forum posted that Scott has been given a tour of the facilities at Wolves however I don't know if that was since the end of last season or when we showed interest in January. It will be interesting to know if the not going above £18m is due to finances or if we feel he's not worth more. I'd go with the latter as we've had a fair bit of additional income which has to help with transfer budgets etc.

I wouldn't be surprised to find Wolves advertising some of the squad on Facebook Marketplace the way things are going.

Always thought Scott was a long shot. Way too hyped up now, Bristol will want £20M+

Hopefully we have another player of a similar profile lined up.
I'd have thought 18m was the ceiling on Scott?
Sure I read somewhere that we have 4 options for each position we want incoming, so we move onto option 2.
Also seen just that Bristol wanted 10m up front and we can't afford that, I call bullshit on that.

Scott does look decent but I can't help but think it would be a risk to spend a hefty chunk of our budget on him. Hopefully we have other targets....

I'm not going to lie, I'm starting to get really pissed off with this Summer. Seems we're getting every binary choice wrong, because we're fucking idiots

For people with more knowledge than me (form an orderly queue please....)

Is it fair to compare Cundle with Scott in terms of how they play?

Sounds like my son this morning when - as he was still half asleep - got the salt and the sugar the wrong way round when he was preparing his cereal.

Though nowhere near as funny obvs

He's not exactly in a strong negotiating position as I doubt any other PL club would even consider him. But he does have Mendes on his side.
Surely we have the upper hand here?
"Tell you what Matt, finances the way they are etc, etc, we can give you£100 per week + £50 appearance money."
"You must be fucking kidding!"
"No, we're not actually, it's kinda 'take it or leave it'".
