IIRC the wage bill for the entire club was near £125m alone.

There isn't that kind of money at many Championship clubs and he isn't a top level defender in that league. £2m is too high really and I doubt Blues have that kind of cash available as their takeover isn't done.

I think we got about £2m for Danny Batth, he was and still is miles better than Sanderson.

Only Championship clubs are going to be interested and the vast majority of them don't have much money to spend now. I don't think we're getting £5m for him.

Division is full of teams struggling to survive. So is £2m plus a hefty sell on fee now better than not getting £5m, some more loan fees then eventually leaving on a free?

I guess the top half clubs that sell their best players to PL clubs, like Norwich, Burnley, and Bristol City (when we buy Scott) have more money to spend than others. As well as the relegated clubs for a year or two with parachute payments.

For you FFP experts out there what can Guo do to really support JL this summer? Cash injection, creative accounting etc?

Owners can cover losses from 15m up to 105m i believe. It should be just a case of Guo stumping up the dosh and we crack on. But... i doubt that will happen. I don't think Fosun's finances will allow it, but who knows these days!
