The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Key for Newcastle resurgence, apart from coaching, was getting ‘effective’ PL players - for me, that’s why we jettison Guedes and Adama this window, and use their spaces for the likes of Lemina.

Lemina isn’t just a useful player in his own right but also allows the starting midfield to empty the tank knowing there won’t be a drop-off when they’re bushed and need to be subbed.

It feels like Newcastle have gone for evolution rather than revolution, so far at least.
Think they've only really spent big on Trippier, Guimares and Isak haven't they? And that seems money well spent.

I think they spent fairly big on Botman as well, but they are going the right way: spending big on the spine of the team.

I've brought a hosepipe so I don't have to get up for a piss during the night. However John Kettley said its going to be minus 1 most of the week so it may not work..

Just looking at Instagram. It looks like Joao Gomes got married yesterday, which may be the reason he’s not come over yet?

He's been outstanding for them, Newcastle fans really rate him. And their defensive record shows he must be doing something right.
Boo, that'll teach me to pile on when I don't actually know.

Oh yeah forgot him, still only splashed out on about 4 and Botman wasn't crazy money.
They spent the most in the world last January.

Willock 25m, Burn, Targett, Pope too.

Isak was 70mill. Wood was 25mill.

They've bought well, but they have spent a lot.
