My concern would be he's barely played this season and at 33 what level of fitness that would leave him with? From an either/or perspective what you are getting with Dawson is more of a known commodity

I'd be much happier with Dawson - this is clearly a stop gap signing just to get us through til the end of the season, and we know Dawson won't need time to settle, and he'll do what he does. The home grown factor is also there with him too.

Agreed. As already alluded to it’s a stop gap signing who we want to slot straight in for the remainder of the season.

I know very little about felipe, but if he hasn’t been playing he won’t be match fit, not to the extent of Costa when he signed but different circumstances. Will take him say a few weeks to get up to speed, whereas Dawson is ready right now, knows the league etc.

As mentioned in the match thread and maybe it's because I was watching on TV, but I thought that despite having limited service he still gave our defenders a good game.
