I get your general point, but it's a myth that Newcastle haven't spent much money so far, they've spent over 200 million since Howe came in.

We've spent virtually that since August. Newcastle have invested but you wouldn't say they've gone gung-ho and thrown money at it. Annoyingly, they have spent wisely and are playing the long game with transfer dealings by building slowly and sensibly. It irks me to say it, but their owners are getting it right I think.

Yep. Of their projected starting 11 today, 6 were already there and another 2 are English none superstars signed from Brighton and Burnley. They have invested and paid top dollar, particuarly on Trippier, but they'e been smart. I and most on here were wrong about Howe and them signing a washed up former great as a headline act (so far)
