The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Chicken breast in light peppercorn sauce for me later so the mrs says. Complimented by a sweet potato, carrots, brocolli and cabbage!

On a diet bay I

Sounds yum Walsall. Good luck with the diet. I'm doing Dry February and also totally cutting out bread, potatoes, cheese and chocolate for the month. Bread is gonna be the hardest for me. I love sandwiches :(

Chicken pie tonight, no doubt with mash and at least three from carrots, peas, asparagus, broccoli and red cabbage. I'll shit like Shergar reincarnate.

Toad in th hole here. Accompanied by wombats list. Will be searching for some home grown veg.

Pie for me last night (with new potatoes, carrot & broccoli) - steak & stilton in a port sauce. Made by Clawsons & bought at Lidl - far better than any pies I have had from elsewhere - can really taste the stilton in this. Also do a stonking Beef Bourguignon one as well plus a number of others I haven't tried.

Thanks mate. I am doing a similar thing in cutting Carbs - certainly the bad ones anyway much of which you mention. Piled the pounds on over the last couple of years, still having a cheat on a Saturday (by a cheat a few pints/glasses of wine) but my diet since Boxing day in comparison to the last year or two is literally chalk and cheese! I forgot what fresh fruit and veg tasted like! :D

Long Clawson stilton is the dogs. Superb.

Was Long Clawson Stilton - they were not the makers but as the box is at the bottom of the recycling bin I'm not getting in it to find out who it was - bloody superb though & the cheese taste coming through was strong, but not overpowering the rest of the pie

Spaghetti Bol tonight, only without the spaghetti! With homemade hot, buttery, crusty, garlic bread instead.

Tonight its me homemade Chunky Minestrone soup, in a Sourdough bread bowl with the middle scooped out for dunking. I may add a little Lea & Perrins.

This is the only Worcester Sauce that should be consumed at the weekend!

£1.25 a bottle in my local Aldi last night.

I need to take a trip to Lidl and check out those pies Parkin has been championing.
