You’d think club doctors would be all over that kind of thing.

Blimey, mental that something can be so prevalent in football yet no fucker knows about it

I just saw a tweet from David James going back to 2016 saying its use in football is a problem. I didn’t even know snus existed until today!

It's better than cigarettes (at least the genuine Swedish stuff is), but still... Not much of a silver lining to come out looking better than what is essentially rat poison.

Is it? Just causes cancer in a less deadly place doesn’t it.

It’s massive is Scandinavia, especially Sweden. I used to use it 20 odd years ago.

The lack of combustion means fewer bad compounds are released IIRC. But you can find snus out here with all kinds of wicked additives that essentially make it net neutral. Not sure what it's like out there.

But again, it's like the difference between chugging poison and sipping it. And I say that as someone who indeed struggles with my own nic dependency.

Mario Vuskovic of Hamburg banned until November 2024 for doping.

Think we were very loosely linked with him last summer (and I said you don't want anyone from the anti-mentality monsters at Volksparkstadion).

Including the one he has already missed 5 are against relegation candidates

I understand their concern for attitudes towards match officials. But maybe they should look at why this is. PGMOL are a complete shit show and players have very little respect for officials, which is why this sort of behaviour eventually boils over at some point.

PGMOL isn't in a good place but victim blaming is never good.

Whatever you think of the ref you can't touch them, if you want to see why not go on the BBC sport website and look at what is happening to grass roots officials.

I think there is an angle that PGMOL could do more to protect officials. Such as consistently booking players who surround refs, getting in the refs face etc. Hopefully this would drive behaviours from the top down the leagues.
