Giggs has a very modest number of caps for Wales - considering that he started playing Professional football at a very young age and finished up in his mid 30s , he should have well over 100 caps .
Giggs however wasn't concerned with playing International football for a country that struggled for long periods during his time . He wanted the glamour of club football , playing for a top club winning regular trophies .
Winning something with Wales was never going to happen , so Giggs wasn't interested in playing on a regular basis - a black mark for him .
He could have really helped the other Welsh players in camp if he had bothered to show up , as most of them would have been from lower league clubs . It would have been as much about promoting the game in the country as winning , all boring stuff to Giggs I'm sure .

All of the above occurred long before the recent allegations surfaced re his personal life .

I would suggest that there was a very strong word in his ear about representing Wales, from SAF...

Just a bit.

Annoying thing is peak Giggs would have been supplying second Liverpool period Ian Rush and still very good Mark Hughes (at least up to 1996 for those two). Could have been very decent, although the back line had Paul Bodin in it to keep things a bit shit.

The story circulated that he never chose England as he never thought he'd displace Andy Sinton

He was never eligible for England, we was born in Wales, with both parents and all of his grand-parents being Welsh. He represented England school boys because he went to school in England. He couldn't have played for England even if he'd wanted to

Sky not making enough money so pay The Mirror to leak something that isn't going to happen.

To be fair if you willingly buy something advertised as a 'cracked box / stick' etc you are kinda asking for it.

All correct, save for one of his grandparents was from Sierra Leone I believe.

SKY know that they're in the shit in the next broadcast round as the PL can sell rights to individual users next time.

The PL are in no way competent or ready to manage direct sales
The PL already use a production company for broadcast (IMG). They are more than equipped to do this through streaming platforms such as Amazon, Google and Apple by having their own app.

It is seen as a big reason why Americans want to be owners of clubs.

The selling of individual games through their own club platforms will be the way to monetise the PL at the same rate and cut out SKY.

I'm in two minds about this - it'll certainly better as a Wolves fan, unlikely need to use the multitude of platforms currently required to watch Wolves. You would imagine it will go down the La Liga route with the bigger teams hoovering up huge amounts of money which can't be good.

I think that's where the PL will use the same model as the NFL Gamepass. They then retain control of the actual broadcast and sell it to the clubs individually to sell on through an app.

The revenue would then be the same as no point a club inflating the price to it's fans if they can get it cheaper and direct from the PL.

Something like Gamepass would be good, what we don't want is some god-awful Wolves app only able to be watched via a phone or a horribly convulted method on TV/ .Simple branded locked down version of the main app would be fine*

*Caveat - I can think of at least one poster who would be ever so slightly unhappy with any non-traditional method.

Not sure how I would feel about it. Not going to affect me though. I’m going to be watching every game live for a much lower monthly rate than I get charged now for Sky and BT. It does involve a lot of insomnia though!

Dani Alves accused of slipping his hand down a woman's underwear without her consent at a Barcelona nightclub last month.

Alves, as you would expect, is denying the allegations. Stay tuned.
