I am sure they are. But they don't belong in the English football pyramid.
How exactly did the likes of Swansea, Cardiff City, etc, end up in the English pyramid but the Scottish clubs all stayed separate?

Because they affiliated with the English FA having played many years in the English pyramid. And then when Cardiff made Europe through an English competition they had to give up their entry from the Welsh FA (which used to get Swansea, Cardiff or Wrexham in all the time). Same for Swansea after they won the League Cup.

Scottish Clubs (plus Berwick) are completely Scottish FA Affiliated.

They would get relegated.

Not a chance.

I haven't really paid the disparaging remarks towards Scottish football in general any mind after my original comment (mainly because they're not that far off the mark) but this Celtic team is genuinely quality and I don't think the poor standard of their current opponents should detract from what a good side they are this season. They play some wonderful football, I haven't seen an OF team this good since MON's team were carving their way through Europe. I think this squad would be comfortably mid table in the Premier League. I certainly don't think the likes of Albion or West Ham are any better than them and of course you have to factor in their incredible support, a full Parkhead is the best atmosphere in Britain, full stop.

Where they'd finish with Premier League funding is another question entirely, IMO both Rangers and Celtic have the potential to be as big as any team in England right now. Why couldn't they be as big as Spurs or Arsenal if run sensibly? They are absolute powerhouses who could draw in some of the biggest names in world football.

Spanish police have detained 3rd Division side Eldense's manager Filippo Di Pierro on a match fixing charge after his side lost 12-0 to Barcelona B

As expected Liam Cooper of Leeds United has been charged with violent conduct, and if found guilty will be banned for more than three games as the FA said it had submitted a claim that the usual three-match ban was "clearly insufficient".

6 game ban (2 additional on top of the 4 game ban he got for his 2nd yellow card of the season)

Li think Cooper will be available for the play offs. The FA should have given him a ban that ensured he missed the rest of the season. What he did was shocking, and he could have inflicted a very serious injury on a fellow professional.

I've just watched the Newcastle debacle from a fan video on Youtube. The sheer number of WTF's you can hear is very funny. The PGMOL is wrong here and it's for the FA to step in now and say the referee is done for the season. Referee's and PGMOL should not be using phrases like 'lapse in concentration' as that is embarrassing for them, admit the guy made a mistake and take the guy out of the firing line for the rest of the season for 'retraining'.

Who gets that money then as its not their Stadium?

£20m is peanuts for those kind of rights. Someone's mugging someone off there.

The Government and its being used for youth sport or something. West Ham get zero pence from the deal in the first few years

"Under its lease to use London Stadium, the club is entitled to 40pc of E20 Stadium’s naming rights revenue over £4m per year. If West Ham are relegated from the Premier League its share will drop to 35pc.

It is understood that the proposed contract will initially be worth less than £4m per year, but will increase in value over time and breach the threshold for West Ham to benefit."

Dortmund team coach caught up in a bomb explosion.

No idea to what extent as the news is just breaking

Marc Bartra injured and taken to hospital, everyone else ok.

Game delayed, decision in ten. Highly doubt it will go ahead
