A very nice gesture by Guardiola after last nights game at Bournemouth. He sought out Harry Arter and wished him all the best as his partner prepares to give birth.

All Coventry's current woes will be a thing of the past soon as they have just signed Yakubu ....

From BBC sport:

Mark Clattenburg is to quit his job as a Premier League referee to take up a position in Saudi Arabia.

The 41-year-old is widely considered to be one of the best referees in football, and he took charge of the Euro 2016 final, the Champions League final and the FA Cup final last season.

In December, Clattenburg said he would consider officiating in the Chinese Super League.

Proper lolz on twitter with some people calling him the worst referee ever.

Clearly blessed with never having experienced the delights of Messrs Lynch, Rennie etc etc.

Halsey can go in that bracket too - the useless fucknugget.

It is no surprise that Clattenberg is moving on. This is the kind of opportunity he has been looking for, and it will enable him to pass on his experience and knowledge on. Though the premier league will be all the poorer without Clattenberg.

Not a bad ref but incredibly self-centred. Fans haven't come to see you, Mark.

Any excuse for this vintage gem from beardy bellend Jeff Winter who had similarly narcissistic traits:

Is that genuine?! It can't be. That's proper Partridge-esque.

It's Jeff Winter, I think you've forgotten what a nonsense of a man he is.

Ah yes, good old Jeff Winter. The referee who objected when he was appointed to referee Leicester City v Wolves in the premier league. His objection was that the game wasn't big enough for him.

He was a proper self-obsessed bellend alright. His website is hilarious.

Looks like goal line technology will be used the Championship next season.

Interesting.
The FA have confirmed that they will trial a fourth substitute in extra time during the quarter finals, semi finals and final of the FA Cup.

A rule so sensible I'm amazed it's taken over 100 years to come to it.

We didn't even have three subs 25 years ago Alan.

I would have gone further and had 5 subs in normal time of which 1 is an injury sub (I.e. Not permanent).

I do not.

We didn't get three subs in the Football League until 1993 and for the first two years I believe one was mandated to be a keeper so still only effectively two. Five man benches came in for the 1999/2000 season.
