Due to the indecisiveness/incompetence of Shi it's left us needing to take points from the current and traditional top six in the new managers opening 9 games.

It's going to be one hell of a motivational 180⁰ to tell the same players who were told the season didn't start until Brentford that no, you definitely can beat these sides.

Leicester is simply must win. You'd hope Everton (Chelsea A) and Palace (Arsenal H) won't pick up any points.

I expect us to lose v United, they're flat track bullies, put 8 past Leicester in league and cup, and 4 past Everton. They fall down against anyone half decent.

Spurs can be got at, especially with things appearing to turn on Ange.

If we can get actual defenders in as soon as the window opens we'd have 9 days between Forest and Newcastle to prepare. I'd be using the cup game as a pre season game to refine our plans without caring about the result.

After that even the most optimistic fan might give us 4 points, beat Villa and a point elsewhere but in the words of a wise man "tough, very tough"

Tbh if we'd have changed coach 2 or 3 games ago, I'd be thinking we could get some decent points from those first 5 but it's gunna take a miracle to get us up to speed quickly enough. Realistically we are looking at about 6 points from all of those, if you're really optimistic maybe 9?

A tough start you say?

Where have I heard that before?

Somehow, anyhow, we need to shithouse a win against Leicester. Utd look more organised under Amorim but they are are still in transition tactically. Spurs is anyone's guess, can be brilliant, can be awful. Forest and Newcastle are doing OK but we have to believe we can get summat from those.
Looking grim isn't it?

Saw the highlights of Leicester v Newcastle.........all it showed was chance after chance for Newcastle . They didn't show a single chance for Leicester . Newcastle it seems were utterly dominant .
Then again , maybe they are waiting for us and just writing off the trip to Newcastle . Who knows .

We're still suffering the defeatist mentality from O'Neil.

Firstly, every game is loseable when you're a team like us. But those first four aren't write-offs, especially when you consider the defence Spurs will have against us, which is the toughest one.

Probably need 10 points + to keep us in with a shout and then a big finish. Very difficult but not impossible.

Don’t see us winning any but we need to probably win 2 and draw 2 to give us a sniff.
Thanks to the likes of Hobbs, GON and our super fans they turned this type of fixtures into an impossible mountain to climb.
