The Film Thread

Oh God no................prefer the early stuff, Pictures of Matchstick Men, Green Tambourine etc.

After that they became rocks version of UB40 :stirthepot:

Pre 1970 they were cack, Pictures of Matchstick Men is a horrible, tinny poo ditty...if you watch it on TOTPs the boys are clearly embarrased about it, of course I fully support your right of opinion, wrong as it is....

More embarrassed than 'Living on an Island' ??? I am never wrong, just sometimes not as right as I could be !

Yeah I agree everything after and including Rocking All Over The World is rubbish....I'm same as you with 'wrongness'

Living on an Island is a classic tune, they were never embarrassed by that. Margarita Time on the other hand...

My sister won a Radio 1 competition to meet Status Quo around the time of In The Army Now. She enjoyed it but my Uncle insisted on accompanying her as he's a BIG Quo fan. Best day of his life.

Status quo were rubbish after John coghlan left

Rise of Skywalker. I loved it. Bittersweet moment though. I have been on that journey since I was five years old on opening night in 1977, and I can’t believe it’s finally finished ( well bar a myriad of spinoffs).

Same here... I was five years old in ‘77 and Star Wars pretty much dominated my childhood and early teens... until I discovered footie, beer and women (natch).

I’d pretty much written off the saga as I thought the last two were unmitigated pap.

Really enjoyed this one though! Go figure. [emoji2371]

1917. Awesome. There's a family connection too I discovered at the end of the movie!

Yeah, loved this. Tense as fuck. Really immersive cinema. Definitely one to be seen on a big screen.

Need to go and see this - busy this week but if it's still at Frome next week will make the journey (cheap parking & only £4 a ticket is a bonus)

Dolemite Is My Name on Netflix. Really enjoyed this. I like Eddie Murphy when he's on form. Wesley Snipes is hilarious in it too.

1917 is an outstanding piece of cinema. Loved it.

Saw Just Mercy last night - cracking film about racism in American south, with some top quality acting.

Anyone seen Once upon a time in Hollywood? I’m a massive Tarantino fan, this was a bit odd but great ending lol
