The CHRISTMAS Thread

I always mean to give our postman a tip, he's brilliant but I often forget.
Binmen is more difficult as there's usually about 4 or 5 of them, plus the recycling guys and the food waste blokes.

Yeah I wouldn't with those as I see different people each time tbh.

I do with the barber and baker though. And I would if I had the paper delivered.

It was completely alien to my mates.

I know the term "christmas box" from when I did my paper round as a spotty teenager. And my Dad would always tip the ones we've mentioned. So guess I got it from them.

Spoke with my mates and their partners the other day about giving a tip/"christmas box" to someone other than a restaurant and I think it's died out with my generation. Or all 25 of them are just tight arses.
Think it goes back to 20 years in US for me as I still tip hairdresser, window cleaner, Postie, etc. Usually the bin men but lately they empty the bins and either leave them in the middle of long driveway, or halfway down the steet, or tipped over on their sides or right on the edge of the roadway blocking the way for people walking. Just put them back were you found them and you'd get ya selves a decent tip.
