The Film Thread

Jurassic World in 3D. Nothing special, and hoping that will be the last one made. But with the last shot it left you with, you know it won't be.

It isn't. At least 2 or 3 more to come.

It made a shit load of money, so they ain't dumping that Franchise anytime soon.

Same reason we are getting up to 4 more Transformers movies and all but the first of those is utter rank.

good news imo on the chances for a BTTF remake (at least in the short term);

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/film/back-to-the-future/remake-sequel-robert-zemeckis/

If you don't want to read the link the key words are “Oh, God no,” the 63-year-old director told the Telegraph, when asked if – as one of the two rights holders to the original film, along with co-writer Bob Gale – he would ever consider signing off on a remake. "That can’t happen until both Bob and I are dead. And then I’m sure they’ll do it, unless there’s a way our estates can stop it"

The amazing one for me was that James Caan was originally chosen for the role of the young Vito Corleone! Fortunately they changed their mind and cast Robert de Niro instead.

On Godfather one, James Caan auditioned for the role of Tom, Sunny and Michael.

Well, was quite look forward to this film and in the right hands and using somebody with (at least a bit of) humour it could have worked.
Sadly, the fella on the quest is just downright boring and by the end i was hoping he couldnt get all the NES games when really i should have been rooting for him.

Paper Towns. 109 minutes of me night wasted.

For contractual reasons (due to the series of books it was loosely based on), Frank Sinatra had to have first refusal on the role of John McClane in Die Hard.

Just trying to imagine yippee-kay-yay motherfucker to the tune of My Way.

Nope. Does not compute.

Watching Whiplash. Fucking great film.

J K Simmons is fucking unbelievable as the psychopath music teacher. It is monumental stuff.

Loved that film,my jazz loving friend always scoffed when I told him such and such was a great rock drummer.
Not a patch on Elvin Jones he would say....and he was right.

The Signal.

I spent most part of this film confused or pondering. The rest left me thinking wtf.

Hate films like that.
