The Film Thread

San Andreas. You can have too much disaster in a movie and this is just disaster overload. Just sillyness.

I actually enjoyed it - guaranteed silliness as you say, but it looks spectacular. Just ignore any sort of plausibility and the awful acting and it's entertaining enough.

Louise Theroux has got a film coming out called "My Scientology Movie" - should be fucking amazing!

The Martian is well worth a watch, very good film with Matt Damon in one of his better roles.

Black Mass
yeah its ok as in its a notch above other recent gangster flicks, though i would say that it doesnt put you "on edge" as much as say The Departed.
Johnny Depp's eyes are pretty weird too.
Overall it aint gonna trouble Goodfellas.
And now onto...

Also..
this is a pretty funny film too, i think EW is over here promoting it now but its straight to "on demand or retail" i think.
Do hope someone put the soundtrack onto vinyl.

Those both look right up my street!

New trailer for Episode VII will be plastered all over the t'interweb later tonight.

Mega excited. And it's only a trailer.

Thanks - I've been trying to work out when it'll be available.

I just know I'm going to stay up. For a bloody trailer. That I could just watch when I wake up tomorrow morning.

You can pass the time by watching Beasts of No Nation. Amazing film. Idris Elba is amazing in it.

Thinking I might try and give the trailers a miss. I'm already mega excited for the December release, and whilst I'm well aware there won't be any spoilers, not watching the trailers might keep the film fresher, and have more of an impact?
I don't know...

Watched it, but sensibly, I didn't stay up. That would have been too nerdy, even for me. Looks amazing - and I can't wait.

Disney's Tomorrowland. It's ok but glad I didn't go to the cinema to watch it, and glad I rented it before I went ahead and bought it.

I love the BTTF trilogy so they better not.

I'm torn between wanting it to get done properly and knowing that if it ever does happen it'll probably be awful.
