The Film Thread

Watched Groundhog Day this evening. Genuine classic. I could watch Bill Murray in anything (well, anything except Broken Flowers...).

They should bring out a sequel, only to play the original during sittings.

I thought Broken Flowers was alright.

His last one St. Vincent is pretty good. Back to form.

Stay well away from The Man Who Knew Too Little. A film so awful that not even Bill Murray could save it. Watch What About Bob instead.

What About Bob? Is genius, watching Richard Dreyfuss melt down is brilliant.

You can pass the time by watching Beasts of No Nation. Amazing film. Idris Elba is amazing in it.

I watched this last night - and can only echo what you've said. Really harrowing in places but what an amazing film - the kid who plays Agu is also exceptional.

I tried watching this the other week. It was ok but never really pulled me in and I turned it off shortly after he gets on all the family's good side but Dreyfuss's. I just can't believe that they'd love having some weirdo mental patient following them round their holiday home as much as they did. I couldn't suspend my disbelief for that one.

Jurassic World in 3D. Nothing special, and hoping that will be the last one made. But with the last shot it left you with, you know it won't be.
