Someone as solid as Hulk being available should have been an easy decision to dump Grosjean. Odd.

Steiner has justified it on the basis of knowing and understanding the feedback RoGro provides given his time with them and the need for it to resolve their massive issues.

Kubica gone at the end of the season.

Enjoy Singapore, Kenny!

Race Day \o/

It has been an epic trip even if it is hotter than the bastard sun.

Sat with some Aussie fans during Quali, that was entertaining! They will be gutted when they realise Danny Ric was disqualified from quali though.

Huge groups of Lewis/Seb/Max fans but it seems everyone loves Charles (or Choccy as the Aussies called him). Huge cheers when he got pole.

Aye and zero rain fall.

The inventor of air conditioning is my new god

That’s unusual as you have been there three days. You usually get at least one later afternoon Thunderstorm in that period in Singapore.

Well you predicted rain so obviously it didnt happen...

It’s not quite as predictable as Caribbean “set your watch for a shower at 4pm” stuff but I am a little surprised you haven’t seen any. Sat on that rooftop bar at the airport watching lightning rolling into the city is spectacular

Back in sunny old Blighty....that trip has properly broken me though but worth every ache and pain I am suffering.

If anyone has a chance to go to the Singapore GP....do it. The whole event is amazing. So much going on off the track and so well organised and the area around the track is stunning, especially when its dark. On race day, just after the drivers parade, we popped out the back of the stand, grabbed a pint and sat on the Marina wall, amazingly so peaceful despite the fact a few metres behnd us was the track.

Bonus was having Ted from Sky doing work for GPTV which was broadcast around the track, so always upto date with what was happening. For P1 & 2 we were sat in the Pedang Stand which is right up the back of track. P3 and Quali into the Stamford Stand, which was the corner Lewis kept getting wrong and cost him pole position.

Top view of the cars as the hit the corner though

Race Day, Pit Stand and this was the view we had of Charles and Lewis at the start.

I'm guessing on TV the race was a bit dull with the top 7 not really moving apart from the Pit Stops that flipped a couple around but the midfield battle was great viewing and apparantly the most overtakes in the Singapore race. It may have a non event in terms of front end over taking but the atmosphere was electric and made up for that.

What a place to hold a race. Singapore is a brilliant city

Nice pics, Stu you lucky bastard!

Charles on pole by 0.4s and slagging himself off for his final sector. Outrageous talent.

He shagged the final corner to be fair, could see him really out of shape on the pit straight camera.

VSC is an absolute nonsense.

Russell very lucky that his brakes have failed there rather than T3.

Ferrari are fucking idiots.

1) Regardless of agreements, do not broadcast it from the 2nd lap and expect the leader to slow right down.
2) You have the best talent in F1 right now, do not spend time fucking him off.

What’s Vettel done now? Missed the race.

Nothing in my view.

Apparently Ferrari had agreed that Charles would ensure he put his car so Vettel could benefit from a slip stream to jump Lewis on the start. Vettel had a storming start though and passed Lewis with ease and hit the slip stream and got ahead of Charles. Then you had Vettel over second ahead of Charles and Charles a second or so ahead of Lewis. They told Seb to slow down but he said, I will when Charles is right behind him and that never happened and if Seb slowed down he probably would have slipped to 3rd. So after 5 or 6 laps of radio arguments they decided to do the undercut on Vettel. So they left him out for ages so Charles could take the lead.

Not long after Vettel pitted his car broke down.
