Odds on Max taking Danny Ric out in the first two corners?
I wouldn't want to be offering on that at all!

Fully expecting the Ferrari's to swamp them, their straight line speed is ridiculous.

I'm only half watching this with the sound down. How has Vettel pissed past Hamilton so easily then disappeared into the distance?

Hamilton's tyres are shite, and he doesn't need to be anywhere better than seventh so why worry about Vettel.

For some reason the Merc is eating its tyres. 1st lot were gone after 3 laps and 2nd lot were fucked after 10 laps. So he is having to go slower to extend the time on them.

Danny Ric's engine looking like it is about to go pop...........and it has.

Unbelievable run of engine failures

Lewis now out for a Sunday cruise to ensure he gets his car home. Shame he won't be on the Podium though (I doubt Max will have a similar engine failure)

Its good to see a mixed up race, but this really is F1 at its worst.

For far too many seasons races have been ruined by crappy tyres.

Danny Ric (until they pressed the destruct button) and Kimi did well on their 2nd set. Hamilton's 3rd set already look buggered and he is driving around 2 seconds slower than everyone else at the mo

Its just bonkers that there is so much focus on tyres.

Its finding the balance isn't it. I think the hope is the new aero rules for next season will help.
Yep, it's interesting to have the strategy side and that's a lot of why i like F1, but mainly people want to see fast cars racing each other, not 20s between all the cars.

I can't see this changing until they have a fundamental change in tyre composition.

Just been listening to the F1 podcast, great to hear how well Lewis is recognised now.
Not sure we will ever see anything similar for a long time - for someone to get to F1 and be so successful from his background is unbelievable.

Vietnamese Grand Prix to be held in Hanoi from April 2020.

Big Track as well at 5.5km with a 1.5km straight

Looks like a grand total of two overtaking spots there. Top left and top right.

Going the other way round to how I first surmised. I can see a fair amount of action to be honest. As they say in the article turns 1 and 2 are a clear overtaking chance, but then someone is likely to be only a tiny bit in front hitting the first of the two longer straights, so there is clearly a chance of a retake before the roundabout at the bottom. Presumably the massive straight is going to have a DRS zone as well so that is a huge chance for wheel to wheel stuff. Not sure the sweeps by the stadium provide that many obvious chances though, and the final corner tightens a bit too much to make a realistic chance. Still should be lots of fun though.

I like how the pit entry misses the last corner and the rejoins at the exit of turn 2.

When they said it would be a street race through central Hanoi, I had to pinch myself how they could make that happen. This is definitely not central Hanoi.
