I can't see any way Max doesn't get a 5 second penalty for that which puts vettel 3rd anyway. I get why he's annoyed but he needs to sort out his anger issues.

I guess they saw it as Lewis had no one on him and on cold brakes he had little choice whereas Max was fighting for position and gained the advantage. They didn't even look at the Lewis grass cutting did they?

Seb moaning about Max backing him up into Ricciardo. I mean, hello, welcome to racing in a team sport.

Lewis didn't keep or take a position going off, plus any time he gained was lost with the safety car coming out. The rule is quite clear about whether you gained an advantage.

Seb wasn't making a move at the corner. If they were side by side and he ducked out then fair enough. Max just overcooked it like Lewis though . Neither should have been penalised for me.

Good point raised by Crofty on twitter, should Seb be punished for his radio behaviour? He swears all the time and personally insulted both verstappen and Charlie whiting for millions of people to hear

I don't get that though, it's all time lapsed and the formula one media company decides what gets broadcasted - if they had a problem with it why don't they just not broadcast it.

I agree with you, just trying to see why the stewards did what they did.

3 incidents of using the grass and non of them should have been punished. If any of the 3 should have it was the Nico/Max one.

So Seb has now had a 10 second penalty and loses that podium after all! Have to say I didn't think he really moved under braking to defend ricciardo he was just heading at a slight angle anyway

His father is Canadian billionaire businessman Lawrence Stroll.

He's pretty decent to be fair to him. He's hosed up in F3 this year and was a Ferrari Young Driver for a long time.

The other options (Nasr, Magnussen, Gutierrez etc) aren't exactly massively enticing so he's worth the gamble.

Seems like Ocon is in pole position for the Force India seat.

Yeah he does look to be fair, not convinced by the trend of chucking younger and younger drivers in F1 though. Max is good, but lucky he hasn't caused a serious accident yet though.
