The CHRISTMAS Thread

Am I the only one that doesn't display their Christmas cards! Can't be doing with string around the place, or sellotaping them to doors, or blu tacking them up the stairs. I put mine in a decorative box and put the box on a table :)

I've barely had any - none of my friends send them anymore, I never do. Which I'm pleased about - writing loads out is just a ballache.

We have had one so far. I am not expecting many more at all.

Wish people wouldn't bother. Half the people only send one because they've had one off you and feel they have to send one back.

I've had 4 cards from friends but apparently there's a bag full at work to pick up. They're going to wait until the end of the week and then UPS them to me, just in case there's anything semi-important mixed up in there.

So, Love Actually made a huge error towards the end of the film. Martine McCutcheon's character greets her PM fella at the airport, his security detail should've filled her full of lead before she got within 6 feet of him. It would've been more accurate and a far better ending to the movie.

Nice to see that the Cyber Grinch telepathy is working! Bah Humbug- keep it up

Good point.

The bit that really creeped me out was Rick from the Walking Dead's weird obsession with Keira Knightley. That wedding video is fucked up - why would you film that? It's your best mate's wife, dude - back off!!

Yeah, he's a proper creep. I bet he had a pair of her dirty knickers under his pillow as well.

Simon Callows version on a 1 man christmas carol was really good. Kinda like a jackanory de luxe.
The mac was playing christmas music prior to the film. I was tense, but did not get whammed!
still going strong...

I remember him better from This Life. That was a pretty decent show. Never seen Walking Dead, so can't comment on him in that.

Social sites, forums are gonna have to take a back burner for a while. Early I know but have a good one, enjoy, celebrate in your own way, and make as much merry as you can :)

Have a good un Soooze!

Whammed out at V.V. Katwijk football clubhouse on Saturday night. I should have walked out as soon as the Christmas songs started. Being more than half cut, a gale blowing outside with torrential rain and plenty more ale on offer meant that I couldn't be arsed.
At that point I didn't realise that late winners would be the theme for the weekend.

Had the first christmas cards today. 2 of em. one from an aunt, another from an old friend, and it's the only real contact we have.
as long as we have less than 10 i won't be too annoyed...

My dogs got a card each today from a company i have used to buy a few doggie things from.

Is it 'Oscar'? I bought some bits from them this year and he got a card...not me, him.

I hate the ex factor and naturally have great respect for our emergency services. In an attempt to ensure that the X factor is not the Xmas number one the fire service have recorded a do they know its christmas cover and its really good. They are trying to beat the x factor to number one for Xmas and raise money for their firefighting charities. Now thats a message I can support. Feel free to share the hell out of this

Do people still care about Christmas number 1??

Not really. Bob The Builder ruined it for everyone.

Not since Rage Against The Machine!
