You spelt Costa wrong there.I thought Jota was the only of the front three who showed anything at all.

If he was Aguero-like in front of goal, he wouldn't be playing for us.
Sure, someone like Glenn Murray will score more across the season, but you get none of the link play, which is fundamental to how we play.
The wide men need to step up their efforts in the final third as no goals from either of them so far is difficult to justify.
I don't usually defend any player because they are paid well to perform at the highest level. However, I really think some of the criticism of Jimenez's performance against Watford is a bit over the top. I was amazed that, in the circumstances of the last week, he not only started but actually played for 60 minutes. Have any of you played a full international game, then flown over 12 hours (more importantly, across many time zones, which disrupts sleep patterns), then 24 hours later played a competitive game for 60 mins. I can tell you that it's very taxing on the body, no matter how fit you are, so I would hope that the extraordinary circumstances of last week would be taken into account when criticism is mounted of his play against Watford.
Not criticising him, but maybe this was a reason not to start him.
Jota/Cav/Costa front line wouldn't have hurt
I’m not sure I’d blame anyone - Doherty was stood next to Murray five seconds earlier so could have just followed him, and then probably no goal - but i think Nuno has instructions on where people should be, so it’s entirely possible it was Bennett’s job to get back in there, and Doherty was heading towards his correct position for the break.
