The Blame Game

At first look I thought Patricio was a bit slow to get down for Fred's goal but on replay he was a bit unsighted and his weight slightly to the left as the shot was struck so no blame on him for me.

Don't think I'll put anyone down for that goal. Not sure there was a great deal we could have done at any stage.

No, we were undone by a brilliant 1st time pass by Pogba. No blame attached IMO.

Pfft, amateurs playing at the blame game!

No acceptance of a quality goal in the persuit of blame, so I'll go with:
Coady for a poor header out into a dangerous area
Neves for not anticipating a world class touch from Pogba
Patricio for not getting across his goal quicker

It was Bennett's header I think.

Yeah, it was Coady’s header.

No blame, though.

Aye, Coady, just watched it back. Couldn't have headed it anywhere else tbh and got plenty of distance on a cross that had no pace.

It was just a fantastic bit of skill from pogba and unfortunate that Rui couldn't see through the crowd.

Now i would blame Traore for not passing at the end.. though in the last attack no one could keep up with him.

Traore will give you that at the moment - a few more weeks of Nuno's teaching may well get him to recognise the greater good for the team rather than himself

Yes, not to say i don't love the guy. The most exciting player I've ever seen at wolves. Its just the pass was very much on if he got his head up. He's nearly there - his passing and crossing from standing is pretty decent, he just has to realise we are not Boro and some of our players actually are near him when he sets off on one of his runs.

He's fucking ace and so exciting, but he looks up and we leave Old Trafford with all three points. Impossible to criticise him though, as I fucking love watching him.

Traore was playing in a team that had no one able to keep up with him or do anything of his quality so clearly took it all on his own - will take him a bit of time to realise that we aren't the same & he has others who can play as well (if not better) than he can.

Had limited time on the pitch yet for sensible reasons - he will come good

He's doing well. Ultimately though he's not in the starting XI as Helder Costa is a far better footballer as it stands.

have to disagree with it being all Pogba. watched it several times and the pass was made and Fred wasn't even in a position then to shoot. in the end that was the only option. from behind the goal Rui did seem a fraction slow moving to the shot.

Jimenez kept up with Traore during that run at the end, he was in acres of space to his left. Not blaming Traore, he may not have seen him, but there were a couple up there in support with him.

I thought Johnny could have got nearer blocking the shot - but that's being hyper critical

Agreed. Glad to see Helder showing what he can do. Incredibly talented.

I was absolutely furious that he didn't pass it! He definitely should have played it either side!
