On the Tesla I get lane departure warnings but only if you're not indicating as Kenny said.

Not sure why it would be happening when you get out of your drivers seat, unless you are taking Autopilot too literally and are going for a kip in the back whilst cruising down the motorway?!!

There's a sensor under the seat.
When you arrive somewhere, say you've got the wipers on, the air con on, the radio is playing, because there's no key involved, you open the door to get out, and everything is still working, until your arse comes up off the seat...
Then it goes 'bing bong' softly and shuts everything down and for 20 seconds leaves a 'Goodbye Roy' on the touch screen!

Nah, he is in the boot looking for his glasses.

I know the ID's have a pressure sensor in the seat that means it knows when you are in the seat so no need to press stop/starts etc. Presume once you move off the sensor it resets back to the no driver setting.

Edit: as Wolf has already said

so got a refund for tickets bought in 2019 coming. email explaining the refund says it will be paid only to the method of payment via which the original transaction was done through. no alternatives.
that card has expired, though the bank account is still live, with a new card.
does anyone know if the refund is likely to go through? or do i need to contact the ticket company?

If you paid by Debit card then the money should come back to you even though the card has expired

Anyone got any successful complaints through ticketmaster? My 17 year old has paid 5/6ths of a huge price of a Leeds festival ticket. His final payment didn’t go through as he thought there was insufficient funds but on checking back he’d lost and replaced a card so we think that this was the reason. He had to do a survey to then get them to take the payment again by the end of May. The payment wasn’t requested and they’ve forfeited his ticket and won’t refund any payments. Helplines just read off a script and won’t listen to reason and won’t allow the final amount to be paid. They said if he wants to go he can book again and pay again. Anyone know a way of way of getting any progress with this? I’m fuming about it as it’s a large sum for him and he got a part time job to pay for it.

WTAF? Apologies for being unable to help but mate that's bang out of order!

I had an issue with claiming a refund with ticketmaster a couple of years ago. I believe the refund comes from (at the discretion of) the event organiser.

Can you do a charge back on the payments via your online banking? Companies hate that and will certainly get their attention.

@Sniffer what means did your lad pay by? If it was credit card, and not a debit card, the credit card provider may have some obligations towards him to ensure the sale is completed?

It was a debit card. A complaint has been raised in writing but the message says it can take up to 28 days to resolve. He'll try a complaint on their twitter pages later to see if that resolves it any quicker and perhaps go back to the charge back option if it isn't resolved in the 15 days that the banks have stated that he must wait for a resolution. I nearly fell off my chair when I was told what he has already paid and could potentially lose.

They’ve responded from the Twitter complaint and basically said he’s lost his money as he didn’t abide by their T and Cs. Apparently they tried 3 times to collect the final instalment, on each date there were funds to clear the payment so it looks like the new card stopped them from going through. He’s got a message from them saying they’ll try to take it on 26th which didn’t happen and at no point did they state the reason for the non payment and ask him to call and pay by phone. I’ll try to argue the toss but looks like they’re not for turning.

Worth taking to retail or financial ombudsman?

You can only go to the Financial Ombudsman after a firm has issued their final, formal written response. Generally you have to be absolutely legally watertight on those (I know, as this used to be my job).

Sniffer, happy to draft you a letter if it helps, obviously I'd need facts and figures etc but I do know how this stuff works. I have a few niches, awful at most things life throws at us but I tend to be alright when it's something I actually know :D PM me if required.

fucked off by the fact the ticket provider has refunded the ticket cost, plus postage cost, but not the over £25 in fees. These tickets were bought in 2019, so the mofo's have sat with tens of thousands of peoples cash in their bank accounts, earning interest, whilst providing nothing, and the tour was repeatedly postponed, and now cancelled. I mean, it is most likely to be included in the t&c's, but it fucks me off that the refund isn't a full refund. Insurance will cover the lost costs, so this seems to be a way of scamming people who would otherwise have liked to have gone to a concert.

Whilst not excusing the wilthheld money because its utter bollocks and over charging but they will be safe from refunding those as they are classed as fee's for work done regardless if the gig goes ahead. There is a reason why ticketplaces push back from putting these fee's into the ticketprice as they wouldn't be able to get them back.

I guess their defence is these fee's pay the wages of their staff etc.

A nice wholesome one today

I've got 6 year old twin girls who want to go to a wolves match so I'm probably gonna take them to a friendly game at the start of next season

My wife won't be able to come due to looking after the babba.

The only question I have in my head is what to do if they need the loo. They're old enough to go on their own normally, but sometimes they like me take them if there are loads of people around. I don't really want to take them into the gents, and probably no chance of a sit down loo being free anyway.

So, dad's with girls - what do you do when they need a wee at the football?
