The 2014/15 Promotion Push Run-In Thread

Yeah maybe but i doubt it's significantly more than in previous years. Ipswich are the team to beat at the moment as they are in 6th on 67 and they have Bournemouth and us to play out of the top 8. Even if they lose those 2 i would expect them to win 3/4 of the other 5 games and in doing so would get to at least 76. That in itself means we need 77 and thus is more than usual.

Ipswich are absolutely key for us, but we still need someone else to ship points too. They will. A good finish and we will be in there.

Christ! Anything could happen. Let's hope for the best and (try to) enjoy the football.

Ipswich 1-1 Bournemouth

Drops us down to 7th for now.

Just realised, I'll be on holiday if we get to the final.

I was being facetious.

Derby 2-2 Watford

Puts us back down to 8th but a little closer.

Match v Ipswich could well be decisive - we are at home so should be looking to put them to the sword

We might not have progressed much in terms of position but we have definitely reeled Derby back into our little mini-league. You can forget the top four I think. Two from four out of us, Derby, Ipswich and Brentford. I fancy us to get the most points.

Home Games we should be taking 9 points. Away...Boro tough, Blues a pain in the arse, Wigan may be gone or clinging on. So 4 or 5 points from those games. If we sit 7th after picking up that total then Football has gone mental.

Hard to believe Wigan have dropped off so sharply form last season. I thought Rosler really had them figured out when I saw him getting good performances out of fucking Antoine-Fortune.

I think we'll get 10 from the last 6 games, hopefully that'll be enough.

The top 8 is ridiculous and there ain't much between all of us, it's very much a case of who blinks first. Just two poor set of results and your targets will be over.
I think we'll need a minimum of 10 points to have a chance, that away game at blues next Saturday looks a real headache as it's all they've got left to look forward to this season.

I'd say we have the toughest of the fixtures on Monday.

Both Ipswich and ourselves are playing teams who are playing today, I'd say that gives both of us a big advantage in those matches.

Derby v Brentord next Saturday will be very interesting, it's case of do prefer to play the teams fighting to stay up or those on the beach in mid table.
