Summer 2021 transfer window

This and next years accounts rolled into one for FFP purposes. With our accounts you can see why that is being done, what should have been a modest profit turned into a loss due to delayed payments.

What we need to do is work out how Everton do it. They must lose a shit ton every year but all it does is seemingly increase their transfer/wage budget the following year
You need a Fallaini, Stones or Lukaku every 3 years.

Aye, but they sold Lukaku in 2017.

Most of their transfer dealings are a complete black hole of money. Loads of crap they can't shift for free at times.

They're not making a profit on that deal.

Calvert-Lewin the one to sell for a hefty fee I guess.

Depends on how much between the £35m and £50m they've paid. They've not won anything or made Europe so probably not too much over the base. They'd get £40m+ for him I'd have thought to throw back into their FFP calcs. I don't think they'd sell DCL unless absolutely desperate

Their net spend is £55m/yr over last 5 seasons. It’s not that crazy

They are trying to commit to a half billion white elephant though. Doesn’t affect FFP but it will fuck their cash flow completely.

Isn’t Moshiri and the other bloke minted and trying to get them successful by any means possible whereas Fosun are minted but want “organic growth” to an extent.

Aren't their losses over 3 years north of £250m though

The last statement from the big man at Fosun stated he keeps asking if the club needs money but Jeff doesn't feel we need injections/loans from Fosun at the moment

Classy penalty from Toney against Forest just. He’d be superb for us.

Presume if Brentford stay down they will be asking for more than they received for Olly Watkins

Quick Google says yes. I don’t know what the PL rules are though and what percentage of those loses are non FFP factors.

Hadn’t heard that.

Wages are absolutely mental.
Kieran Maguire has their 2020 figure at £165m. 7th most in the league, which is what you’d expect. Leicesters was £150m but that was the previous figure so they probably are a lot closer than that. So you could argue it’s about par for a team trying to push top 6.
