There's 20 clubs in the Prem, it's not really explicit at all.

I struggle to believe that Moore is at all the sort of player that we would actually have any interest in at all, let alone have scouted him and said "yeah, chuck some money at that". That is what is tough for me to believe.

There aren’t 20 teams in the premier league who would a) want to sign him in the first place and b) not meet the asking price. It’s us.

Which of the other 19 clubs were explicitly mentioned by journalists as having made a bid for him?

So even though various journalists said we made a bid, Mick says a bid was made by a Premier league club, and Spiers had said a week or so prior to deadline day that we were interested, you still refuse to believe it?

Or you could have just been around on transfer deadline day to know all this already, rather than sneeringly assuming that everything that has already been discussed at length is bullshit, despite plenty of evidence to the contrary.

This is the thing, though, isn't it? What we regard as "evidence" when journos are involved doesn't seem to have any kind of logical basis. And certainly I can't keep up with everything all the time, even on deadline day. I'm a busy guy.

Percy has a reputation for being pretty reliable, hence that tweet being good enough for me whereas your "yes" without anything else to go with it really doesn't do much for me as an argument.

That obviously depends on the journalist doesn't it?

Romano and Percy are seemingly rock solid.

Keen and Spiers don't lie to us, but they may be inaccurate from time to time.

The Sun, Talksport and HITC are right about once in a 100 times.

From what I read about the match Botman was the CB stepping out to try to win the ball whilst Fonte would cover back.
