Time to let this thread die the death it deserves
Yeah a little bit, he kind of has a couple of digs, but also says "it's ok though".I haven't seen any quotes yet, but apparently Bruno's left one on Jeff in today's presser about recruitment
Thankfully, according to his presser today, Mick helped us out by putting too high a price on him.I still can't get my head around both Shi and Bruno saying we wanted quality and/or didn't want squad fillers, whilst making desperate, deadline day bids for Kieffer fucking Moore.
Have we heard this from anyone that we believe? Seems like the journos get a lot of stick, then when they say something we can get mad about suddenly it’s Gospel.I still can't get my head around both Shi and Bruno saying we wanted quality and/or didn't want squad fillers, whilst making desperate, deadline day bids for Kieffer fucking Moore.
Mick McCarthy in his press conference today said that we didn't bid enough for him. From the BBC Live PageHave we heard this from anyone that we believe? Seems like the journos get a lot of stick, then when they say something we can get mad about suddenly it’s Gospel.
Yes.Have we heard this from anyone that we believe?
Suppose that's fair enough, then.Mick McCarthy in his press conference today said that we didn't bid enough for him. From the BBC Live Page
McCarthy surprised Wolves didn't bid more for Moore
Cardiff City manager Mick McCarthy had his press conference today ahead of the Bluebirds' trip to Nottingham Forest and he spoke in detail about Wolves' interest in striker Kieffer Moore.
The Premier League side bid for the Wales striker before the transfer window shut, but McCarthy says Wolves never came close to meeting Cardiff's valuation.
"I'm delighted to keep him. I am sure he would have been interested in playing in the Premier League," McCarthy said.
You don't want to lose a player who scored 20 goals the season before.
"Of course he was interested in playing in the Premier League, but there was no offer that came in that was anywhere near the club's valuation.
"The value to me, the team and the players is immense, he's been fabulous for us."
"Of course he was interested in playing in the Premier League, but there was no offer that came in that was anywhere near the club's valuation."Interesting though that the only explicit mention of the bid being from us comes from the reporter, not Mick himself.
Out of interest who do you believe and don't believe?Have we heard this from anyone that we believe?
There's 20 clubs in the Prem, it's not really explicit at all."Of course he was interested in playing in the Premier League, but there was no offer that came in that was anywhere near the club's valuation."
That's pretty explicit.
Unless the only way you will believe it is if Mick spelt it out to you.
