He lacks fundamentals to be a top player - pace, strength, his tackling/duels are “ok” and his positioning and reading of the game is either great or poor.We need that CB I think to either take us to the next level, or solidify our place in the top 10. Even if it's a case of scouting for a decent, young CB in Europe that we can integrate slowly.
Although it may be that with a full pre-season, Coady can be coached into that four-man defence role. At the very least, any new CB needs to have his passing range.
We can get by with him, but I can’t see him being top 6 material.
Bit bizarre him watching that ball that crossed the goalmouth that Kilman put out for the corner it wasn't a bullet cross and literally two foot out but he just stood and watched it ?I actually think Rui was a bit better last night: made some decent saves and good calls to his defence when he wanted to be in control. Their goal was Semedo and Coady's fault, not Rui's. His defenders let him down nine times out of ten.
The only thing stopping Pope from playing for a big six team will be injury. He will be at one next season .Actually who am I kidding, Cyber will name Nick Pope.
Look forward to spannered kicks, never ever claiming a cross and letting in any shot over his head. He succeeds because Burnley have the lowest of low blocks. And I say succeed, they're fucking below us and we've been shit for months.
Who you classing as Big Six. The Sky 6?The only thing stopping Pope from playing for a big six team will be injury. He will be at one next season .
I get you don’t rate him. Unfortunately , you’re in the minority. He should be England’s number 1 for the next ten years if his form maintains.
