Summer 2021 transfer window

Leicester have bought a load of pups along the way, don't buy the narrative.

How much did Ward, Benkovic, Silva, Iborra, Praet, Musa, Kapustka, Ghezzal, Slimani and Perez cost between them? Two of those have never even played a league game for them. Iheanacho was shite for years as well before hitting a good patch last season.
Around £150m - ouch.

Can’t see it with Rice, a decent player, nothing more

maybe gold tinted glasses but I think neves is exceptional. Like jota, if he plays in a top team he would instantly become better

I do like the leicester model and yes they tend to have a big player being sold most summers. However to do that recruitment needs to be correct / young players coming through and more times than not they seem to get it right.

also helps that they have English players to sell with the ‘English premium’ attached. Unfortunately, being Portugal MK2 doesn’t help us in that aspect

Because it was in reference to the players being linked away?

Yeah, I read the article. Just a light-hearted observation... I like Bruno.

"From my point of view we have to protect our best players. Ruben and Adama are our best players."

Two of our best players would have been more accurate 😉

By and large Leicester aren't trying to do it by buying teenagers though. That's the flaw for me, not the selling a top player for top money and reinvesting back in the team element.
But look at some of the players that were not teenagers they have spent a lot of money on recently who haven‘t done much (appearances in brackets) Silva (14), Ahmed (21), Ghezzal (19), Benkovic (0), Iborra (27). Leicester’s transfer record with established players is patchy.

They did, but all clubs get them wrong. Issue is if we’re only signing 1 or 2 first team players in an already small squad then we need really good hit rate. Particularly when recently our hit rate hasn’t been great.

Imagine if we'd spent 20m on a player who only made 20 league appearances for us. There would be literal pitchforks and torches out.

Romano reporting that Adama is 'prepared to join' Spurs.

Surely lovely Nuno wouldn't be party to such Wolves-shafting antics?

If a sensible offer comes in for him it’ll be hard to stop him moving whilst the offer is derisory Traore will understand the move isn’t possible.

If he goes with no incomings the fanbase will be well within there rights to ask what the hell is going.
Would leave us with 2 fit wide players.
