Summer 2021 transfer window

I see no Origi on the bench today for Liverpool (they have filled the bench with an extra keeper). No mention of him being injured or having Covid...so on his way maybe? Can you feel the excitement as it could be us (or more than likely West Ham)
Or he's just not good enough to get on their bench...

Nah he is off. Probably be a loan deal to West Ham or Palace. Just waiting for the story that West Ham, Spurs and Wolves are interested...

Palace can't do their usual trick of loaning Batshuayi as he's gone to the strikers' graveyard that is Turkish football (why don't Chelsea just sell him, seriously).

Origi is absolutely rubbish, I don't want him anywhere near here.

Yeah let’s hope it’s West Ham he is off to. They’ve been needing to sign a shit striker for a while

Look, the sooner you accept we will* sign a forward you don't rate the better. Just embrace it happening

*That's me being positive and expecting signings this week

I dont think West Ham need another forward, so he might come here. I would prefer Liverpool to send Jota back though. (dream).

They don't even have a Fabio, they have one forward and that's Antonio and he breaks at least once a season. Origi certainly fits a Moyes type of forward; big, strong and fast, and he doesn't much care for technique.

There strategy to crack the big 6 wasnt going to be Man City level expectations, for me the blue print needed to be a Leicester, Monaco, Brentford, Athletico system that is unique or different to what is happening. It doesn't need 40m transfers constantly, it needs the next evolution of buying a Neves type.

The issue is we seemed to be heading towards what Monaco were doing (becoming a finishing school for young talent) before maybe recognising that isn't as easy in the Prem, as have made vyirtually no signings. So what next?

Being a finishing school for young talent can work though - see Borussia Dortmund. Admittedly the Premier League is more competitive than the Bundesliga, but to sustain a club and challenge for trophies it can work.

Is David Brooks available from Bournemouth? wouldnt mind him at all and he has been unsure to stay there

Huesca will receive 25% of the sale of Rafa Mir. They will receive €4m from Wolves as the deal with Sevilla is reportedly €12m fixed + €4m variable.

If the fee was questionable to some before that piece of information became available, this certainly won’t help.

We have two right wingers already and another who can play there in February.

We really don't need another.

Lovely footballer but he's got so many fitness issues, 125 career appearances but for comparison, Neves at the same age and a similar position has 270 career games. Its a shame because I'd be all over signing him otherwise.

Why ? Did they have some sort of first refusal that they’ve given up for a fee?

Huesca or Valencia?

Can understand Valencia having a sell on % included but cannot see how a team who loaned him for 18 months get a slice.

"Huesca brought out the best version of Rafa Mir and that has had a prize: four million euros. The Huesca club managed to get 25% of the forward's pass in his assignment for a year and a half in El Alcoraz and the sale of the tip from Wolverhampton to Sevilla for 16 million euros, provides the Alto Aragonese entity with an important economic reinforcement. The Huesca did not take the opportunity to take over all the rights of the footballer last summer, but they managed to get a quarter of a future transfer."

So does that read as, they paid a fee/purchased 25% of him to get him on loan him which would be removed from the total if they signed him and returned if we sold him to someone else. Sounds a bit odd/dodgy but the Mendes bed is a dodgy one to get in and we are so comfy in it

Still better than fuck all
