Big update on Talisca from ABola yesterday. After rejecting Wolves 1st offer, they now report he's set to join them.

Only thing missing is Talisca's work permit. He's been in touch with Mendes every day to monitor the deal. [A Bola]

Jorge Mendes has assured Talisca that he'll leave Benfica. Still a chance of Liverpool hijacking the deal. [A Bola]

How long do work permits take? If we're even at that stage...

He'll piss it with the new points system. Both in terms of fee and wages, before the other ones that earn points as well. He only needs 4 and those first two get him more than that straight off the bat.

No doubt Mendes has enough clout to make sure it goes through anyway even if it was in any doubt.

Mendes trying to convince Talisca that going one year to the championship could resolve the work permit issue to play the Premier. #Wolves

A lot of talk on Twitter that Talisca will just be using us to gain a work permit so he can play in the Prem. How does that work then??

Don't care as long as he gets us out of the division.

With Mendes involved we might as well get used to the idea that he will use Wolves (at least for the time being) as a stepping stone.

Won't the new permit points thing still be a problem in a year? I have no clue how it works.

Obviously.

Mendes is a money maker.

Mendes is the major part in this transfer.

Benfica bought the 50% of Raul Jimenez, striker that is a second option in the club, for 13 million €. In the total of the transfer it costed 22M€, the most expensive player of the history of the club. A player that is a second option. This was made by Mendes, also. Now, Mendes creates a way to replace some of that money and put Talisca in another club by a value that, at the moment, he doesn't justify.
