I get the reasoning here but I do think it sells the difficulty of staying in the Prem a little bit short. Only takes a small slip to tumble out of the league for a long while.Doesn't even need acknowledging. With what we have done since 2017 and the progress of the club, being a Premier League team is the default and dropping below that level (or threatening to do so) means there's been a massive failure somewhere.

Don't disagree that staying up should be bare minimum.
I think they will as they changed the set up of the club to get Lopetegui and he alone deserves some public praise. Appointing Lopetegui was the very start of correcting some shocking decisions off the pitch.Of course.
