REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

If the EU thought the EU was so brilliant they would do the best deal that suits everyone not one trying to stop Countries thinking of leaving.

The EU has to do a deal that complies with their rules and is agreed by all members doesn't it?

And the best deal for them is to fuck us up pour encourager les autres.

Funnily enough no countries are clamouring to leave now as they've seen from us that it's a borderline impossible task. We of course have exacerbated it by having one of the worst Governments ever at the same time.

Impossible in the way that the establishment has done absolutely everything possible to make difficult and overturn a democratic vote to leave the EU?

Indeed.

How dare they not roll over and say "what a good thing, have what you want"

Impossible because there's just way too much stuff to do in nowhere near enough time. Even if we had competent people, which we don't.

Not what you want, but respect the democratic decision of a sovereign nation to leave the EU, without being vindictive and vengeful.
If the EU is so good( which it obviously isn't), why do they need to try to frighten other members not to leave, by punishing the UK?
Something like the Japanese deal, is well achievable.

Well agreeing to parallel talks would make it a lot more achievable, but of course, the EU denied the UK this, to try to punish us, for democratically voting to leave the EU.

I saw something on faceache today which got me thinking. Do leavers think remainers will go away once brexit is activated?

I certainly won't, in the same way Eurosceptics haven't since Britain first joined the EU in the 70s

I think it might become more obvious as the talks go on, what cunts the EU are and leavers will start to believe in their country. Instead of supporting the EU, that shows content for sovereign democracy.

No, the majority of the voting public, democratically voted to leave the EU.

I don't think people really knew what they were really voting for. Most likely they thought the NHS was gonna get extra dosh rather than staffing issues

No one is saying the EU is perfect but the benefits of being in the EU outweigh the disadvantages of it.

Do they show contempt? I'm fairly sure we still get to decide our own laws

I certainly don't know what benefits we'll get when it's finally done , and I'm convinced the cost will be nowhere near worth it

Why the fucking hell do you think they should fuck themselves up to respect a democratic decision in a country that now wants to divorce from them? Why?
