REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Freedom of movement has nothing to do with sovereignty. The only assault on sovereignty of late has been from Theresa May.

This is from the agreement.

Temporary movement of company personnel – the agreement includes the most advanced provisions on movement of people for business purposes (otherwise known as "mode 4") that the EU has negotiated so far. They cover all traditional categories such as intra-corporate transferees, business visitors for investment purposes, contractual service suppliers, and independent professionals, as well as newer categories such as short-term business visitors and investors. The EU and Japan have also agreed to allow spouses and children to accompany those who are either service suppliers or who work for a service supplier (covered by "mode 4" provisions). This will, in turn, support investment in both directions.

That is not free movement of people. Just goes to show, you can do trade deals without losing sovereignty.

Not really sure how that has any relevance to 'free movement of labour' as regards individual trade deals.

Our exports to Japan appear to be close to £9Bn so it remains to be seen how much of that we 'lose' or 'gain' and I'm not sure if Japanese companies (Honda/Nissan) desire to move production away from the UK. In short it doesn't really say much of the relationship between UK and Japan whether we are IN the single market or OUT. I suppose any attempt by Japan to alienate us would result in us possibly making their cars more expensive to buy in the UK. Interesting times ahead ... but I don't see any change in migration levels into this country while there are jobs (sadly most of them unskilled, low pay) to fill.

As has been explained about a billion times, you would need to negotiate something pretty special. And starting with the opposition having all the cards kills it stone $#@!ing dead.

A deal like Japan's, makes a lot of sense.A free trade deal, controlling your borders and keeping your sovereignty.

BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE OTHER SIDE AGREEING. AND THEY HAVE SPECIFICALLY SAID THEY WON'T

If they can do it for Japan, they can do it for us. After all, we have been paying billions in to their project for years.

The only reason they won't do it, is to punish us for making a democratic decision to leave. That is the sort of behaviour you would expect from a sect, when one of their group decides to leave.Every day that the EU acts like it does, the more certain I am we did the right thing voting to leave the EU.

They dont want to do that deal. They are quite right to give us a hard time as we are the ones wanting to leave the group. Any idea that they will suddenly give us what we want is up there with fairies at the bottom of the garden in the realism stakes.

Do I need to write it in a different language or something?

But why do you support the people that want to punish us for making a democratic decision to leave?

To give Japan a deal that has never paid anything in to the EU, but not give the UK at least a good as deal, smacks of vengeance and nastiness. It is the same sort of behaviour you would expect from people who are in a sect. It doesn't matter how manipulative and nasty they are to you, you continue to support them. I just don't understand how now you can't see them for the cunts they are.

I didn't say I support it did I?

I pointed out that ridiculous dreaming that they will do what we want is completely unrealistic.

Agreed. Not a day I want to be having a silly row. Too much good Wolves news for that.

Pointing out the bleeding obvious isn't the same as taking sides.

I would fucking love to play poker against THM. Seems to think that 6 high is a winning hand.

My arse. It will be powerful for Donald J Trump and the US only or the isolationist cunt will soon change his tune

I want to wake up next to Kelly Brook, but it ain't gonna happen.

In what way are the EU, who are finalising a trade deal with Japan, isolationist in terms of trade?
